The company is an aerospace fasteners manufacturing company in Bangalore. It is a joint venture between LISI Aerospace, France & a large group has been in the industry for over 35 years.

The Challenges

The Forgings unit which is part of the same group had purchased reputed software but were not able to utilize all the features due to the issues they faced during implementing the Production module. Each department was using independent software or Microsoft Excel for processing & managing the data. When department heads / management wanted to analyze the data, concerned department users generated the reports & providing them. These were taking time & were prone to have differences across reports submitted by interdependent departments as they were made in the Microsoft excel.

The Solution

When the group started the forgings unit, they had decided to go for software which had very extensive production, Quality & Inventory tracking rather as it was very much required by the Aerospace industry to which the company would cater to. After seeing our software running at a reputed Foundry in Bangalore, they made decision to go with IcSoft 2.4 in the year 2008. In the year 2011, the latest version of software IcSoft Ver. 3.2 was updated & running successfully.

Benefits:

Earlier each department was maintaining and generating their data in Microsoft excel and there were chances of variations while transferring. Now anybody can generate the reports independently.

Current Status:

The company is currently live on IcSoft Ver. 3.2 & has requested us to Develop web-based interfaces to work on Tab / Mobile for integrating their suppliers and For Production data capturing.

The Results

• Department heads / Management can click & generate the report rather than requesting for individual department people.
• Increased the efficiency of the people by reducing the data entry related to inter- departmental transactions.
• Able to get the Test certificates printed along with packing list / invoice is generated which is the key requirement of Aerospace industry.
• Able to view get the Inventory Valuation, Production Performance, Rejection Analysis, Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet outputs from the system..
